Sugar Club continues on a roll of top-tier international artists, proudly presenting another debut in Thailand, this time the ground-breaking US Hip Hop star Lil Yachty, live on Tuesday, March 12th in Phuket, with a follow-up appearance on Wednesday 13th in Bangkok.
Everybody’s tolking about the lil’ boat from Atlanta, and if you look him up it’s easy to see why. The 19-year-old rapper cuts a striking figure with his beaded braids, colorful outfits, and he doesn’t fit the stereotype – “I hate clubs. I don’t drink or smoke”. Suffice to say Lil Yachty has plenty of personality.
In less than 3 years he’s skyrocketed to become one of the most talked-about acts in Hip Hop, scoring two hit singles from his Summer Songs EP, a raft of high-profile guest features & remixes, a modeling gig for Yeezus himself, plus a feature in the coveted XXL Freshman Class of 2016.
Yachty’s music bangs without a game plan, relying on intuition instead of a formula. He’ll rap over a flipped Rugrats instrumental one minute, and a trap beat the next. Yachty’s approach has earned him criticism from some of Rap’s old quard, some suggesting he represents a degeneration for the genre. But Yachty’s only interested in representing him flavour, spreading positivity, and getting rich from work that excites him.

แต่ละเพลงของ Yachty อาศัยสัญชาตญาณจึงไม่ต้องมีการปรุงแต่งอะไรมากมาย เขาสามารถแร็พกับจังหวะ Rugrets ในหนึ่งนาทีแล้วก็เปลี่ยนเป็นแร็พกับจังหวะ trap อย่างสบายๆ
สไตล์เพลงของ Yachty ทําให้เขาได้รับเสียงวิพากษ์วิจารณ์จากแร็พเปอร์รุ่นเก่า โดย กล่าวว่าสไตล์ของเขาไม่ไม่เหมาะกับแนวเพลงฮิปฮอปเป็นอย่างมาก
Yachty ยืนกรานว่าจะทําสิ่งที่เขาชอบต่อไปและไม่สนเสียงวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ใดๆทั้งสิ้น
